Well, if you had any doubts on the validity of the story we ran regarding BradyGames outing the existence of zombies in the new Call of Duty: Black Ops, you can stop doubting. The Call of Duty: Black Ops viral website, GKNOVA 6, has been updated to show zombies running amok in the Call of Duty world.

GKNOVA 6 had previously shown the standard battle footage you'd expect from Call of Duty, but now the eight monitors are running video of zombies spliced in with stock footage of what appears to be human radiation testing.  Could this be a hint at how the undead came to be in this cold war world? Also as a side note, there appear to be both the George A. Romero style zombies (slow and scuffling) as well as the Zach Snyder flavor (fast and sprinting).

Fans will remember the Zombie mode from Call of Duty: World at War, but Treyarch head Mark Lamia told New Edge Magazine that Call of Duty's zombies have evolved since then,

"We continued to evolve [Nazi Zombies] after World At War - there was a dialogue going on with some of our hardcore community, and we were able to interact with the community and evolve - we did that with our zombie lore."

Now that we pretty much have confirmation of Zombie mode, the next step would be a trailer, and that might be just around the corner. Treyarch community lead Josh Olin announced on Twitter that a big reveal was coming soon. When pressed if it had anything to do with zombies he had this to say:

"If Zombies have anything to do with our top-secret Co-Op mode, then it's a safe bet there will be a trailer for it eventually...'

It's hardly solid confirmation, but it does make you think that the boys a Treyarch have something in the works. So what do you think, Ranters? Are you ready to battle the undead hordes in a Cold War setting?

You'll be able to grab a rifle and mow down the enemy, alive or dead, on November 9th when Call of Duty: Black Ops releases for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.
