Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War saw Firebase Z added a few weeks ago, with the new Zombies content taking players to Vietnam. However, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombies players may be getting even more content soon, as Treyarch has posted a major teaser online.

With Firebase Z releasing just recently, players assumed that it would function as Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War's Season 2 Zombies content. While this could still be the case, Treyarch’s post seems to be a new map teaser of some kind, implying that fans could be getting access to two full Zombies experiences back-to-back. With there usually being months of waiting in between new map releases, this would be unprecedented.

Previous leaks have said that one of the DLC maps will be set in Berlin, incorporating parts of Kino Der Toten like Die Maschine used Nacht Der Untoten in its map design. Sure enough, the teaser video appears to show a portal taking players to Kino Der Toten, with the map's chandelier and a light stand from the stage clearly visible. The walls and ceiling also look just like those of the theater that players fought inside during the original Call of Duty: Black Ops, something that has sent the Zombies community into a frenzy.

If this truly is a teaser for the Berlin map, it goes against the pattern for Zombies releases that was beginning to materialize. It could also mean that players will be getting access to more than four maps throughout Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s DLC season, something that would surely please its fanbase. At the same time, Zombies players should not get their hopes up just yet, as this could be a misdirection.

Another possibility is that this teaser is for the open-world Zombies mode set to come to Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War — a theory supported by the “Breach scale: Large” text seen in the post. However, this mode is rumored to take place in the game's Fireteam maps, and the location shown in the teaser is not seen in any map released thus far. Regardless of whether this teaser is for a brand-new map or the open-world Zombies offering, players may be seeing the return of Kino Der Toten sooner rather than later.

With Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Season 2 launching on February 25, the CoD Zombies community may not have to wait too much longer for answers. While this teaser was unexpected, it is certainly not unwelcome, as Zombies fans may be playing more than just Firebase Z in Season 2.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
