Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombies has a fair number of easter eggs to uncover, with gamers constantly finding secrets inside the mode. However, the nods to Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 have been becoming increasingly common, as the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War mode Outbreak hides a TranZit reference.

This is not the first TranZit-related secret inside the game, as two other easter eggs had been found beforehand. First, Treyarch placed TranZit’s red truck inside of the multiplayer map Cartel, though fans shrugged this off as an example of reused assets. However, an odder reference was added to the game in Season 3 Reloaded, as the sound of TranZit’s lava can now be heard near Die Maschine’s pond. As it turns out, this was not the only sound from TranZit that was snuck in.

In Outbreak, players can hear the sound of TranZit’s bus horn if they stand in some specific spots. As shown by Redditor johnny901901, those interested in hearing the noise will need to the head to the map Ruka. From there, they will want to go straight to the Missile Silos, an area that should be familiar to those that finished Outbreak’s main quest. Near the green crates where a trial machine spawns, the faint honking can be heard.

In the corner of the Missile Silos and at the main gate, different horn sounds can be heard. Intriguingly, jumping in place at certain points seems to trigger even more horn sounds, and all are very clearly from TranZit. In johnny901901's follow-up comment to their original post, the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War fan confirms that they have only heard this noise at the Missile Silos. While all the specific points shown in the video are triggers, apparently walking along the area’s fence will also cause the horn to be honked.

This is a fitting place for TranZit noises to be hidden, as missiles hitting Earth were the cause of the destroyed map. With so many bus noises and triggers for them, this is undoubtedly an intentional easter egg from Treyarch. As pointed out by Redditor MonsterHunter6353, this is also one of several nods to Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Zombies that have been discovered in recent weeks. With Outbreak also containing Die Rise’s easter egg song and Buried’s menu music, fans are beginning to wonder if these secrets are potential teasers for Zombies Chronicles 2.

While a TranZit remake would be interesting, fans should not get their hopes up until an official announcement is made. At the same time, references like this are curious, as they spotlight the only Zombies maps that have not yet been remastered.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
