The teasers for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Season 3 have begun, and Treyarch is beginning to hype up a few new Zombies additions. Thus far, a new Field Upgrade and Outbreak location have seemingly been confirmed for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.

Thus far, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s Season 3 teasers have been Call of Duty: Warzone-related, so it is exciting for Zombies fans to get some news about the upcoming additions to the mode. While there have been no teasers thus far for the next Survival map, rumors have suggested that the previously teased Berlin map will be coming in Season 3. Though it remains to be seen if this will prove true, players can be certain that Outbreak content is on the way.

Treyarch tweeted out a brief clip showcasing players going through a portal, something that has been seen in previous Outbreak teasers. Once players reach the other side, they can make out some kind of metallic structure in a Woodland area. While it is a bit hard to make out, it does appear to be the Duga satellite array, something that would line up with the content that has released for the mode thus far.

For those unfamiliar with the Duga location, it features in the bad ending of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s campaign. Further, it was one of the locations on the leaked Ural Mountains Blackout map, adding to its likelihood of coming to the game. Several locations from this leaked map, such as Golova, Sanatorium, Alpine, and Ruka, have all appeared in the mode thus far. Like other Fireteam maps, players can expect to see Duga appearing in multiplayer playlists as well, with the "only way out is up" messaging indicating that players will be able to climb the satellite array.

Outside of Duga, it seems like a new Field Upgrade will be coming to Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War in Season 3 as well. This would be the second Field Upgrade added to Zombies via an update, as Frenzied Guard came to the game back in February. While this new Upgrade lacks a name, Treyarch’s current profile picture on Twitter hints that it could be plant-related. Showcasing the same circular outline seem for other Field Upgrades, this new addition depicts a skull covered in vines.

While it is unclear what the Field Upgrade could do, the image does give off a Zetsubou No Shima vibe. It could also have a similar effect to the Hand of Gaia Wonder Weapon from Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s Ancient Evil map — though nothing is certain until Treyarch provides details about the ability.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
