Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombies has a lot of interesting systems in place for its enemies. This includes armored zombies, and while they can usually take a bit more firepower to take down, one Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War player has shared a hugely beneficial strategy for taking them out faster.

While Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War players will get a handful of armored undead to fight in the low-mid rounds, high round players will be swarmed with them. This is even more obvious in Outbreak, as armored zombies completely cover the regions that players are exploring once they reach some of the higher world tiers. Fortunately, a Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War video has made a video that shows the best possible approach for killing the stronger zombies.

Unsurprisingly, the strategy starts with Death Perception. While Death Perception’s leaked tiers suggested it would provide 10% more damage against armored adversaries, the official version of tier four actually gives players 25% damage. This is an obvious step up, and a perk showcase is how Reddit user necessaryok opens their video. Doing some testing on Die Maschine, the player fires one bullet into an armored zombie, making sure not to have Death Perception equipped. They deal 17 damage, while the perk’s usage lets them deal 21. They also use Death Perception's perk jingle to give the useful video some fitting audio.

The effect only gets better when combining Death Perception and Deadshot Daiquiri, another Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War perk. This mixture allows the shot to do almost twice as much damage as it would have done if the pair of perks was not equipped. With the fired bullet now doing 32 damage, players should make sure to use Deadshot and Death Perception in all their matches. However, while both beverages have their benefits, the most noticeable difference does not come from a Perk-a-Cola at all.

If players really want to decimate zombies that are wearing armor, using the Cavalry Barrel is essential. This addition adds another 10 damage to the total, making players deal 42 damage with the two perks and attachment equipped. This makes the player’s TEC-9 SMG a whole lot stronger, as they had only been dealing 17 damage previously. While there is a miscalculation in the video, players can still do a staggering 127% extra damage if they are using these three items.

Part of what makes this setup even more appealing is the fact that Valentina from Mauer Der Toten’s main quest and Legion from Outbreak’s first quest are both armored. As such, players can do a lot more damage to the mode’s two hardest bosses with this loadout.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
