By now, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War players shouldn't be surprised to see bugs and glitches. Both it and Warzone have certainly had their fair share of issues over the past year, some ranging from minor annoyances such as visual glitches that make the game look like MadWorld, to other, more harmful issues such as a class reset bug that plagues Black Ops Cold War during the second season.

Even the wildly popular Zombies mode, which just recieved a season 6 teaser, has had a few odd issues crop up from time to time. One of the more recent issues was with the Call of Duty: Zombie's grapple gun. While the tool is meant to help players traverse the map to reach high locations, one player discovered that after finishing the dragon side quest, using the grapple gun on the rocket apparatus as it takes off, the line eventually breaks and the player's viewpoint is now stuck sideways. While not terribly harmful, the latest bug players have discovered is very damaging and could potentially reset player progress.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War made a few enhancements to the Zombies mode, particularly surrounding progression and unlocks. Specific Zombie mode weapon camos can be unlocked and used in Warzone, specifically by completing challenges. Most of these can be time consuming, involving plenty of grinding on the part of the player. Unfortunately, the latest update has seemingly reset the progress players have completed on these challenges, locking access to skins they should already have unlocked.

What's more concerning for some is that this also includes ultra rare skins like Pink Diamond and Dark Aether. The Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War subReddit user noeltorious reveals this in a captured clip, showing that they finished the challenge which unlocks the camo, but after updating, they're unable to equip it. Others have commented that the bug is worse, completely reseting progress on camos, field upgrades, perks, and weapon classes. At this point, there's no update or solution from Activision or Treyarch.

This isn't the first time that the weapons in the Zombie mode have had a strange glitch. Last month, players reported that a visual glitch with the ray gun was giving the weapon a strange and unique look. After killing an Orda inside of the Golova region, the ray gun becomes all black. It would appear that this visual glitch is related to the weapon's texture, preventing the other colors from loading in properly as expected. Either way, the jet black variant seems to be popular among players, as many agree it gives the weapon a cool look.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
