Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombies has received a fair amount of praise and criticism over the past year. Unfortunately, one new post falls into the latter category, as a Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War player is struggling to enjoy the game.

While Zombies was not as buggy as multiplayer at launch, it has certainly had its problems - some of which persist to this day. These have ranged from minor visual glitches with Hellhounds to frustrating Exfil bugs, with crashes and disconnects also being prevalent. Brutal freeze bugs have plagued the high round community, too, ending world record attempts early. It seems like Reddit user Admiral-Community8 has had some particularly awful luck, however.

According to the title of the player’s post, 78 of their last 85 games have ended due to something out of their control. This has ranged from a frustrating weapon bug to disconnections, with the freezing experienced by high round players also troubling the Call of Duty Zombies fan. Perhaps the most shocking aspect of these issues is the fact that they have seemingly skyrocketed since Season 5 released, with the update marking the start of an awful experience for the player. To keep track of the bugs, they have made a detailed spreadsheet.

The hand-made spreadsheet spans three pages, with several columns and rows providing plenty of detail. Unfortunately, the it is not one map where the issues are happening. The player has tried everything from Mauer Der Toten to Outbreak mode, and the rounds have varied wildly. The player has crashed in everything from the sixth world tier of Outbreak and the 30th round of Survival. No matter what they do, they seem to be cursed with bad luck, as the game is consistently ending out of nowhere.

The bugs in question are varied, too. Admiral-Community8 points out exfil issues and the angled sideways bug caused by Call of Duty Zombies’ grappling hook - though the weapon bug seems to be the biggest offender. With most of their matches ending due to this issue, hopefully Treyarch can solve the problem soon. In the comments, the player clarifies that they are playing on PS4 pro. Alongside being dedicated enough to make a real-life spreadsheet, the fan recorded every crash and disconnect.

It would be great if the fan’s hard work results in a more stable game for PS4 players, as Admiral-Community8 has clearly dealt with a lot over the past few weeks. Further, with Treyarch developing Call of Duty: Vanguard’s Zombies offering, hopefully it will not have as many issues as Black Ops Cold War Zombies.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
