Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War's new Season 2 update holds some interesting options for an open-world Zombies experience. With the next map already raising fan excitement, players are now gathering information on what could be the next location. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War takes place in an alternate version of Earth, and so anywhere in the world could be a possible drop location for a zombie operation.

A recent intel drop has caught fan attention, and some players believe that it may hint at a future map location. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War frequently leaves clues throughout its many game modes for players to discover. If this clue is right, then zombie fans may soon find themselves in Berlin among a new horde of undead problems.

In a post created by DiscoCrows, the player shares an audio recording of Requiem station chief Heinrich Meyer. In it, he talks of developing a station in Berlin, and mention of Dr. Valentina from the Omega group intrigues fan speculation. Due to her appearance, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War may be seeing an outbreak in a populated city despite Omega Group's normally shadow-based operations. With Dr. Valentina involved, there is no telling what Omega Group is up to and where the organization will strike next.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War fans have previously speculated that Berlin will be the next Zombies location. In September, additional Zombie map possibilities listed Berlin as a prime suspect. With the original Zombie's Call of Duty timeline centered around Germany, the Soviet operation could be unearthing more of their forgotten technology.

To find this audio recording, players will need to complete the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Firebase Z Easter Egg. Once completed, the audio log will become available as a titled option called "Focal Point." DiscoCrows also states that some players may have another file titled "More Bad News," which references the Ural Mountains operation.

These are only speculations, but the community is quickly amounting evidence that Berlin will be a drop location. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War has a way of crossing international thresholds, and this pattern could easily extend into the well-known German city. For further confirmation, many are looking towards the original Aether timeline for notable events of locations centered around Call of Duty Berlin, the original cast, and the never-ending Zombie threat.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
