With only two weeks until release, more details are emerging about what players should expect in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. With developer Treyarch at the helm for this Call of Duty, fans expected a zombies mode to be included, and they were right. The core Zombies mode will be available to all players, but the PS4 & PS5 will have exclusive zombie content. In a new press briefing, fans can now learn more about what the zombie gameplay will be like, including a refresh to the Armor and Salvage systems.

Anticipation is high for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War after Modern Warfare's record-setting success for the franchise. While Infinity Ward (Modern Warfare's developer) and Treyarch (Black Ops Cold War's developer) have some stylistic differences between their games, a number of key features carry over from game to game. Also revealed in this latest press release were more details on Perks and Loadouts in Black Ops Cold War.

Armor can be found as a rare drop from enemies or purchased using Salvage — the in-game currency in the Zombies game mode. A player's Armor can be repaired by finding Armor Shards dropped by certain enemies, but Salvage is also needed to perform repairs. There is also a Carpenter Power-Up which allows a player to fully repair their Armor. This will no doubt come in handy for players as they tackle the hoards of enemies found in the Dark Aether storyline that will run through the Zombies mode.

Players should also be aware that they can upgrade their Armor, increasing the damage mitigation and durability. Treyarch points out that upgrading Armor will be important as players advance through the game and the difficulty ramps up. Fans looking to jump into the the game may also want to consider upgrading their hard drive, as file sizes for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will be huge.

While the game will be available on PS4 and does have some manageable minimum PC specs, this is a game that is meant to run on next generation equipment. The next gen consoles will be able to handle it, but on higher PC settings, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will require some serious gear.

Treyarch's latest promises to offer a huge amount of content for players to tackle. From a robust campaign set during the Cold War, to the Zombies mode, to Multiplayer, there is a lot to see here. The one question remaining is detailing how Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will integrate with Warzone. This is one of the last pieces that still hasn't been fully fleshed out by Treyarch just yet.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will be released November 13th on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
