Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Warzone will kick off Season 5 on August 12, and now Activision has revealed exactly what fans can expect from the new season. Some of this content will be available right away when Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Season 5 launches, but the rest of it will be added throughout the season like usual. To give fans an idea of what to expect at launch and what they'll have to wait for, Activision has released a roadmap for its Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Season 5 plans.

Coming to Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Season 5 at launch is the new Double Agent mode, which has drawn comparisons to the social deduction game Among Us. Demolition will be coming to Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War at some point later in the season. Season 5 is also launching with three new multiplayer maps, Echelon, Slums, and Showroom, with the latter being a smaller-scale map for 2v2 and 3v3 matches. Later in the season, fans can look forward to the addition of the Drive-In and Zoo maps.

As far as Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombies goes, it seems everything coming in Season 5 will be available right out of the gate. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombies Outbreak is adding a new region called Collateral, along with the new tank vehicle and new Transport objective. Regular Zombies is getting the Grapple Gun, the Death Perception perk, and the Tesla Storm Field Upgrade.

Call of Duty: Warzone Season 5 will see plenty of new content as well. The Call of Duty: Warzone map is getting updated with Mobile Broadcast Stations, with the developers teasing another new addition to the map that's not detailed in the Roadmap. Call of Duty: Warzone players can also look forward to the addition of the Combat Scout and Tempered perks, and the Clash game mode coming at some point later in the season.

Call of Duty: Warzone's Gulag is getting changed to the Rush map from Black Ops 2, while an event called The Numbers will take place in the middle of the season. What exactly that event will entail remains to be seen, but fan theories point to it being tied to the Call of Duty 2021 reveal somehow.

There will also be content that's available across both Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and the Warzone battle royale with Season 5's launch. New weapons are coming to both Call of Duty games with Season 5, along with new Operator bundles. Needless to say, there should be plenty of content across both games to keep fans plenty busy.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
