Today, Treyarch is teaming up with the world's top Call of Duty streamers to reveal multiplayer for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. Treyarch shares details about multiplayer game modes, weapons, and maps while streamers take each other on in various multiplayer matches.

The Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War multiplayer reveal has some familiar game modes returning such as TDM, Kill Confirmed and Domination, but will also feature brand new game modes. Streamers such as Courage, TimTheTatman, Hutch, and many more all can be seen prior to the matches utilizing the returning gunsmith to tweak their weapons and try new loadouts.

Based on their loadouts, fans may be able to see how effectively top players use their weapons and equipment based on the game mode. Players will also encounter some familiar weapons and equipment from the Black Ops series, such as the fan-favorite RC-XD killstreak. However, even the best players have to experiment with different strategies in the new game modes and maps.

One of the multiplayer modes detailed and played by streamers is the new VIP Escort mode in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. VIP Escort is a 6 vs. 6 objective mode where one player is chosen at random to become the VIP. The VIP is only equipped with a kitted pistol, a smoke grenade, and a UAV. The VIP must get to an extraction point to win the match, and the defending team must eliminate the VIP. The team with the VIP do not respawn, but can be revived or survive the Last Stand.

VIP Escort is going to be a very interesting game mode for strategies and gameplay. The VIP needs to be protected at all costs, which could mean the VIP's strategy could differ from player to player. Aggressive players may try to get to the extraction point as fast as possible with their team, while more reserved players may hang back and get any revives to keep their team in the fight. It will take players a few VIP Escort missions to figure out the best loadouts and how to navigate the map effectively.

As of now, the VIP Escort game mode is only 6 vs. 6 like most Call of Duty multiplayer matches, however Black Ops Cold War will also have unique 12 vs. 12 game modes as well as a new 40-player playlist called Fireteam. Although Treyarch is not revealing details about the objectives, the developer has shared that Fireteam will feature teams of four and the environment will also play a factor. The multiplayer live stream is still happening, so fans can check out the top streamers playing multiplayer modes with some gameplay breakdowns from Treyarch throughout.
