Activision continues to evolve Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War with new updates coming out all the time. The latest update for Black Ops Cold War is a big one for fans on Xbox Series X who have noticed a big glitch.

A glitch is currently causing Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War fans on Xbox Series X to receive a much bigger download than intended. Some Call of Duty fans are being asked to redownload 200 GB worth of Black Ops Cold War data, while others are getting the expected 11.4GB update, the intended size of the update.

Today's Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Season 4 "Reloaded" mid-season update brings several new things to the table, but it isn't 200GB worth of new content. This update includes changes to various weapons, the multiplayer, and Zombies. With so many changes coming to Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, many players may be eager to download the update, but they may be impacted by this glitch if they're on Xbox Series X.

Season 4 Reloaded isn't the only update Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War fans have been hit with this week, as another 17GB update was just pushed yesterday. Even without being 200GB, the updates continue to pile up the data dedicated to Call of Duty on a console's storage. On a typical 1TB SSD, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War takes up so much space that only a few other games can be downloaded with it before the storage hits capacity.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is already an extremely large game to download and players who are experiencing the 200GB update glitch have taken to the internet to voice their frustrations. Many of them are encouraging others to free up space on their internal or external storage by removing Black Ops Cold War. One pointed out that Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War takes up a quarter of their available SSD space.

With Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War being such a large download that requires regular updates, it doesn't help when some are glitched to appear much larger than they are. Currently, there's no fix for Call of Duty players encountering this update issue with the Black Ops Cold War update so fans may have to wait until Activision fixes the glitch.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is available right now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
