Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Season 4 Reloaded is live right now. For those that have made the necessary space to download Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s latest update, plenty of new Zombies content should be visible upon logging in. For fans of the game’s multiplayer component, though, there is a lot less midseason content than there was at the beginning.

Still, even with a bit less to enjoy, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War fans can still have some fun with what Treyarch has added to the game. Assuming the new weapons make an impact, and the new modes live up to their potential, Season 4 Reloaded could be a clear example of quality over quantity. With a classic map returning and some quality-of-life improvements made, here is everything that multiplayer fans can find in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s latest content drop.

Season 4 Reloaded’s Rush Map

Kicking off the list is the game’s latest 6v6 map addition, Rush. The third 6v6 map added in Season 4, and the second Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 remaster to debut this Season, Rush offers a nice wave of nostalgia for those that played the 2012 game. For those that did not, they should still get plenty of enjoyment from the map, as there was a reason Treyarch chose to bring it back. One of the few Call of Duty maps to debut in a DLC yet still be remastered in a future game, Rush is a nice playground for fans of shotguns and SMGs.

With Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s version of Rush being identical to the original version, players can expect to do some fighting inside and outside of the speedball arena. Inside of the arena, there are different pieces of specially designed cover for gamers to take advantage of. On the outside, players will find some smaller buildings to fight in. The paintball theme is prominent throughout, though, something that Treyarch will seemingly be taking advantage of through a special playlist. Called Rush Paintball Moshpit, it is one of two Rush-focused playlists coming in Season 4 Reloaded.

Rush Paintball Moshpit will feature “a mix of 6v6 respawn modes,” and while none have been specifically named, the likes of Domination and Hardpoint are likely. Team Deathmatch and Kill Confirmed will probably feature as well, giving Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War fans a bit of variety. While this playlist will mostly be normal, it stands apart by incorporating sound effects and paintball splatters for landed shots. While it should be an entertaining playlist that adds to Rush’s aesthetic, those that just want to play a normal version of the classic map can do so. Rush 24/7 is available right now, with Rush Paintball Moshpit coming next week.

Season 4 Reloaded’s New Weapons And Modes

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War players also have access to what could become a terrific weapon in the form of the OTs 9 SMG. With the LC10 SMG standing tall as the best gun in the game ever since it made its debut, it only makes sense that a new SMG would be the weapon to dethrone it. With the MAC-10 and PPSh-41 being the other additional SMGs, the class had a strong reputation in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. The OTs 9 SMG is available now and can be unlocked through a weapon challenge in both Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Call of Duty: Warzone. Later in the Season, a new melee weapon will be coming, with gamers able to wield a Mace in their matches.

Players can test out the OTs 9 SMG in the heavily anticipated Capture the Flag. The most requested game mode apart from Demolition, fans gave been wanting to see it return for some time. Fortunately, it is available in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War right now. While only time will tell if it lives up to past games’ versions, as Capture the Flag on maps like Launch was sublime, it is nice to see that Treyarch is listening closely to fan requests. Players can expect the exact same rules as in the old versions of the mode, with a major emphasis placed on flag-running. However, this is not the only new game mode added in the back half of Season 4.

Cranked Team Deathmatch and Cranked Kill Confirmed are also a part of launch week, with both accessible through the Cranked Moshpit playlist. As is the case with Cranked Hardpoint, players will start the countdown timer upon getting a kill. If they do not get another within the set time frame, they will explode, losing their current streak and being forced to respawn. It is also worth noting that Treyarch has added the Tactical Nuke killstreak to all modes, so it should be accessible in these versions of Team Deathmatch and Kill Confirmed as well.

Season 4 Reloaded’s Special Weapon Blueprints

call of duty season 4

Two smaller additions made in Season 4 Reloaded have to do with weapon blueprints. First, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s League Play mode will now offer some exclusive rewards, as Treyarch is adding Call of Duty League-themed cosmetics for those that perform well in the competitive mode. The rewards for League Play are as follows.

  • 10 Wins - A weapon charm, sticker, and emblem.
  • 20 Wins - A pistol blueprint, weapon charm, sticker, and emblem.
  • 35 Wins - A weapon charm, sticker, and emblem.
  • 50 Wins - An assault rifle blueprint, weapon charm, sticker, and emblem.
  • 75 Wins - A weapon charm, sticker, and emblem.
  • 100 Wins - An SMG blueprint, weapon charm, sticker, and emblem.

Not only is League Play being improved through some additional unlocks, but gamers can expect some neat new rewards in the Prestige Shop as well. In addition to the standard Calling Cards and Emblems, players will be able to unlock some special blueprints via the Shop. Based on the images shown for the two guns on the roadmap, the Krig 6 will be getting a Confrontation camo like the M16 received in the Confrontation Weapons Pack. In addition to this, the MP5 will be getting a black and bronze look called Dark Horse. If new blueprints continue to be added in future Seasons, there could be a lot more uses for Prestige Keys in the future.

While multiplayer fans are likely getting a bigger content drop in Season 5, these Season 4 Reloaded additions should keep them busy until then. With Yemen and Plaza rumored to come to the game, as well as some further support beyond the planned Seasons, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War should only continue to improve as time goes on.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
