Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War players have been heavily enjoying Season 1’s update over the past few weeks, and excitingly, even more is set to come to the game soon. One part of the midseason update for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is a new Fireteam Dirty Bomb map, and a leaker has given fans a better glimpse into what it will look like.

Set to come to the game alongside other new content next week, Sanatorium is a health retreat, and a gorgeous one at that. Its menu image shows a massive cylindrical building, with smaller houses and locations surrounding Sanatorium’s primary location. With water and a beach also seen, as well as some detailed grass and foliage, the map is easily one of the prettiest Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War locations yet.

However, leaker DeclassifiedCOD was not satisfied that Fireteam Dirty Bomb players have only had one official look at Sanatorium, sharing more screenshots of the new map in action. The first image sees a player standing near a group of flags, while another showcases some Russian propaganda in the middle of a field. The third image of the set depicts a player within a huge attic, indicating that some large interior areas will be available to fight in on Sanatorium as well.

With a Fireteam Duos playlist now available alongside the traditional squads action, players only need to grab one friend to give Sanatorium a try. With so many different kinds of terrain, it seems like every type of player will be able to find success on the map. From a long beach to a massive grassy area with a bridge in the distance, the next set of photos from DeclassifiedCOD are just as intriguing as the last. Rounding out the lineup is a large house, and going by the next set of leaked images, it seems to be one of many.

Like the buildings seen on Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s version of the Nuketown map, the houses seem to be part of a gated community — which should prove to be a wildly fun area to do battle in. Several Twitter users, such as @Noah_Leodore, were quick to point out the visual similarities to Blackout’s map. The comparison is certainly a fair one to make, and anyone that enjoyed Call of Duty’s first battle royale mode should be excited about Sanatorium’s arrival.

With 6v6 multiplayer fans getting Ranked Play in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War soon, it is nice to see that Fireteam players are not being forgotten. Before long, this visually impressive map will be covered in explosions and filled with the sound of gunfire.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
