Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is arguably the buggiest Call of Duty game ever released, though few issues have proven to be as devastating as the Sail 630 Nuclear error. Fortunately, it seems like Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War players no longer need to fear the bug happening in their matches.

For those unfamiliar with the Sail 630 Nuclear bug, the glitch essentially punishes high round Zombies players. Exclusive to the PC platform, an error with Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s cheat detection seems to believe that those getting high into the rounds are using hacks of some kind. While errors like this would be somewhat understandable if the bans were happening into the hundreds, players were getting this error message right around round 50 every time. While this is a decently long game, it should be nowhere near the round required for some kind of cheat detection mishap to happen.

Initially, Treyarch believed that all the claims were illegitimate, with community manager FoxhoundFPS stating that all the bans were proper and carefully reviewed. Despite this claim, news continued to spread regarding the bug, as more players believing they were innocent shared that the bug saw them getting banned. As a result, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombies fans on PC stopped playing the mode altogether until more was said. Fortunately, FoxhoundFPS has added to the original comment.

According to the Treyarch community manager, fans were correct about some of the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombies bans. While Treyarch maintains that some of the accounts were violating the game’s online agreement via the use of cheating software, the studio has found that some bans were a mistake on its end. As a result, “accounts believed to be operating in good faith have been restored,” with Treyarch fixing its slip-up. Any accounts with additional red flags that indicate cheating will remain banned, however.

While this was promising, players that have been avoiding the mode wanted some extra clarification regarding the Nuclear 630 bug being removed. Fortunately, FoxhoundFPS doubled down, stating that this troublesome Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War glitch will no longer be an issue. Promising that players are “safe” to play Zombies on PC, fans of the mode should be a bit less nervous whenever they load into a match on Firebase Z or Die Maschine.

With Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Season 3 right around the corner, players that were wrongfully unbanned should be thrilled about this news. With more Zombies content likely on the way in this new Season, knowing that everyone playing the game fairly will get to experience the update is great news.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
