Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is a shooter game, and by default, players are expected to shoot their enemies. Each Call of Duty title presents weapons, battlefields, and more in an effort of pushing players to shoot the enemy and win. Despite this, one Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War fan has decided to take a different route towards playing the game.

Each Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War game mode encourages players to kill the enemy for points and experience. While playing the objective and cooperating are part of the game, its core is still heavily weighted towards being an all-out shooting fest. Still, one player has taken it upon themselves to avoid this objective entirely and play the game without ever firing their weapon.

In a post by Pilgore1 on Reddit, the player shares a screenshot of their current score in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. While at first it looks like a standard profile, players quickly noticed that they have absolutely no eliminations, a prestige level of one, and a win ratio above 1.0. With 37 hours and 200 matches under his belt, this player has managed to avoid killing anyone and successfully prestige their level despite the game being a competitive shooter.

To accomplish this, a player must be extremely dedicated to their cause. The player most likely focused on objective-based game modes like Hardpoint and avoided Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War modes like Team Deathmatch and Free-for-all. This would allow the player to wrack up the most points and not be a burden to their team.

This is by far one of the more unique ways to approach a Call of Duty title. While it is clear based on their win/loss record that they were playing the game, the lack of kills were sure to be noticed by the other players in the lobby. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War may be using a recycled formula, but at least its fans are finding new ways to enjoy the game.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War fans continue to impress the overall community with their individual skills. While this player did take pacifism to an extreme, it has inspired other members of the community to experiment and find new and fun ways to look at the growing title. As players reexamine the franchise, they are likely to find a new reason to love the game experience.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
