Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s midseason update has arrived, providing players with new maps and gameplay features. Fans of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will also be given access to a new operator named Zenya, and the character's arrival is currently scheduled for next week.

First seen in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s Season 1 reveal trailer, Zenya Ossou is one of Adler’s allies in his ongoing hunt for Perseus. In the blog post detailing the character’s arrival, backstory provided for Zenya reveals that she is a “Senegal-born DGSE Mobility and Heavy Weapons specialist,” adding that the character is a “motorhead” due to her father’s past as a rally driver. The post also mentions she is “a risk-taker” and can be “a wild card” on missions.

Like Bulldozer, the recently added operator with an affinity for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s sledgehammer melee weapon, Zenya will be obtainable via a bundle in the store. The bundle will be available starting January 21, and if it is priced like Bulldozer’s, costing players around 2,400 COD Points to unlock. It is also worth noting that her pack comes with some special weapon blueprints and other goodies like a charm and finishing move.

Having leaked last month, Zenya’s operator bundle includes a redesigned combat knife called finishing touch as well as an adorable bulldog keychain. Her watch shows the scoreboard, giving players an idea of their stats at all times, while her “Big Stick” finisher gives players the chance to execute their enemies in brutal fashion. Lastly, Zenya’s pack will come with RPD and MP5 variants that have the dismemberment effect, a special cosmetic ammo type that adds gore effects to kills.

Like other operators, Zenya will also be usable in Call of Duty: Warzone and Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombies. With the latter getting a new map called Firebase Z on February 4, it will be just as likely to see Zenya slaying the undead in Vietnam as it will be to see her fighting human foes on the new Sanitarium map. With League Play coming to the game as well as a 6v6 map from Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 called Express, there will be no shortage of things to do when filling the shoes of Zenya.

It seems that Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War players will have plenty of Season 1 Reloaded content to enjoy over the next few weeks, something that bodes well for future seasons. Plus, players can experience this batch of content and whatever follows while playing as the NATO operator Zenya.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
