Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Season 1 will launch soon, serving as one of the biggest content updates in Call of Duty history. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Season 1 will see the Warzone battle royale integrated into game, not to mention a slew of content for the standard multiplayer and other game modes. Unfortunately, there is no new Zombies map coming as part of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Season 1, but fans should be able to look forward to one next season.

It's been teased that Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Season 2 will be adding a new Zombies map when it starts. There is currently no Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Season 2 start date, but fans should expect Season 1 to last at least a month or two. With that in mind, it seems likely that Black Ops Cold War Season 2 will start somewhere between February and March, so Zombies fans can expect a new map around that time.

What the new Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombies map will entail is anyone's guess. It's possible it will be another re-imagined map from Zombies' past, but it's also possible that it will be a completely brand new map as well. Until Treyarch decides to share more information, all fans can do is speculate. That being said, Treyarch apparently added some new intel to the Die Maschine map that may give fans some clues as to what to expect.

If the new Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombies map is a remake of an older map, there are some distinct possibilities of what it could be. Perhaps the most likely is a remake of the TranZit map from Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. TranZit has long been rumored to be coming to Black Ops Cold War, having been previously leaked by reputable Call of Duty leakers. Whether or not that ever comes to pass remains to be seen, but it would make the most sense.

For the most part, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War seems to be focusing on putting out original content as opposed to remakes. The bulk of the new Black Ops Cold War multiplayer maps are brand new, including a slew of new maps designed specifically for the 2v2 Gunfight mode. The Black Ops 2 map Raid is the only remake coming with the Season 1 update, though rumors are that the Launch map from the original Black Ops is also in the pipeline.

Meanwhile, Zombies fans can look forward to some new Zombies modes coming to Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War with Season 1's launch on December 16, even if there won't be a new map to try.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
