Activision Blizzard is set to release Call of Duty: Vanguard in November, but Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War continues to get tons of new content. Treyarch has officially confirmed a new Zombies map known as Forsaken is coming to Black Ops Cold War.

Treyarch recently took to Twitter to announce that the release of Forsaken to Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is just over a week away. Forsaken will release on October 7 with the Season 6 update and it will conclude the Zombies mode's story arc. It is expected to be the last addition to the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombies mode, leaving fans with four story-based maps to explore before the release of Call of Duty: Vanguard.

Treyarch has teased Zombies fans with intel about the upcoming Forsaken map for a while. Intel from Black Ops Cold War Season 5 detailed Requiem’s Director has plans for Samantha Maxis and Omega defector Sergei Ravenov provided the agency with intelligence detailing a new Aetherial portal being created in western Ukraine. This has sparked the rivalry between Requiem and Omega who are both trying to extract Sergeant Kazimir Zykov from the Dark Aether.

Forsaken will apparently be the ultimate showdown between Cold War's Requiem and Omega Group when it releases next month. Just like the other post-launch Zombies maps, the new map will be available for free to all Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War players. Forsaken will provide the "shocking conclusion" to the Dark Aether story which will provide anyone who has followed the Zombies storyline with a proper payoff.

Although Forsaken will release for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War soon, Treyarch has confirmed that it will be providing Zombies fans with more updates ahead of the new Zombies map's release. These updates will include the official Season 6 Gameplay Trailer, details about Forsaken, and more. These announcements will come in various forms, but Treyarch has confirmed that they will all be shared through its official Twitter account.

The Zombies game mode will continue in bold new ways with Call of Duty: Vanguard, but Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War still has a lot of storyline details to unfold before the November release. Vanguard's Zombies game mode will crossover with the campaign mode in unique ways that haven't been seen before in Call of Duty. Because Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War takes place in the 1980s, World War 2-set Call of Duty: Vanguard's Zombies game mode will provide a change of pace.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
