A new weapon blueprint was leaked to the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War community that may be signaling a new trend in in-game skins. Players have long collected varying colors, effects, and other interesting attachment details through the in-game blueprint system. Now, a new Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War blueprint may add new interactivity to the weapon cosmetics.

Since the beginning of the Call of Duty franchise, cosmetics have been a fan-favorite feature. Players collect skins, reticles, accessories, calling cards, and countless other items with the goal of personalizing their character and account. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is no exception, but the line of where cosmetics are going is becoming more and more blurred.

A new blueprint was posted to Twitter by user @ez4cyna that shows a unique variant of the AK-47 assault rifle. Where traditional blueprints are usually a mix of colors and unique designs, this new blueprint has a literal rocket attached to the weapon. While the gun fires as normal, the body of the weapon appears to be a full rocket shell. At the back, four fully powered engines are busy blasting away, showing off their full force during the weapon's reload animation.

The animation seems popular among the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Warzone community. With more complicated blueprints populating the battlefield, players expect killcams and best plays to become a bit more exciting. Still, some fans remain concerned of the impact these skins may have.

The first consideration that many Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War fans are concerned about is the price the spruced up blueprints may sell at. While bundles are not exactly cheap, the idea of a fully animated weapon blueprint could push that price above comfortable limits. While the animation does not give the weapon a distinct advantage, it is still concerning to the games community as an additional microtransaction that could affect the price of other wanted items.

On the other side, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War fans worry about glitches and bugs. The game is not perfect, and the community wonders if the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War animated weapon skins could cause more problems than they can solve. With Season 1 still fresh in many players' minds, and many bugs and glitches still running wild, the community is hesitant but excited at the prospect of animated rocket AK-47s.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
