Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War players have discovered plenty of memorable side quests in Forsaken thus far. From delivering pizzas for Ronald Raygun to racing friends on a hidden RC-XD track, there is plenty of fun to be had inside Anytown. Now, another memorable easter egg has been discovered.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War fans can access some hidden shooting ranges inside of Forsaken. Completing each will provide a useful upgrade for the gun players complete the course with, though only certain weapon classes will work with each range. For those looking to complete the target shooting easter eggs, the requirements are as follows.

Required Weapons For The Shooting Range Easter Eggs

Unlike Mauer Der Toten’s target-related side quest, players do not get an Aether Tool for completing a Forsaken shooting range. Instead, the game automatically increases the rarity of the weapon used to complete the shooting range. This means that players cannot choose the weapon they want to upgrade, so they should only bother with the shooting ranges if they plan on keeping the weapon equipped throughout the match.

The classes that work are Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s Snipers,Pistols, and SMGs, and all classes have their own shooting range to go to. For Snipers, it would absolutely help to have some kind of scope to hit the ranged targets. As for Pistols, having a single gun in hand as opposed to dual wielding them would make it easier to be more accurate. While players can complete the Sniper challenge with iron sights or the pistol challenge dual wield, it will be significantly harder, so it is worth having some good attachments before trying out the quest.

Shooting Range Easter Egg Locations

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War players can head to the following areas of Forsaken if they want to do the shooting range easter eggs. There will be five targets in each set, with three sets to complete within the time limit. Again, all must be shot by a Pistol, Sniper, or SMG.

Pistol Shooting Range: In Anytown West, players can head outside the arcade to see some flower planters. In the right planter that is closest to the Record Store, a document can be seen. Picking this up will start the shooting range. All the targets will be inside the Record Store that is across from the planter, making them easy to shoot.

Sniper Shooting Range: On the Video Store Rooftop that houses a teleporter which takes players to the other half of the map, players will see a vent as soon as they walk down the steps. If they climb on top of the vent, they can see a document. Picking this up spawns the targets. The first batch is straight ahead from the vent and will be all around the Bar and Grill sign. The second set is around the theater and Burger Town. The final set surrounds the Observation Tower where Pack-A-Punch is found.

SMG Shooting Range: At Beach Pizza, players will see a truck crashed into the building. On the cinder blocks to the left of the truck, the SMG document can be found. A pizza poster is behind it. Just like with the others, players need to hit all the targets that pop up in the surrounding area. The first set is in the pizzeria, the next is one room over in Storage Zone 10, and the last set is on the Storage Zone 10 rooftop near the teleporter (NOTE: the Beach Pizza door must be open before picking up the document).

While it is possible that more shooting ranges will be discovered, these are the ones that have currently been found within the newest Zombies experience. While they will not be useful to players with other weapon types, the shooting ranges should be a big help for fans of Snipers, SMGs, and Pistols.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
