Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombies players will be playing the brand-new map Firebase Z on February 4, and Treyarch has been actively teasing the location for some time now. The latest Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War teasers give insight into the characters of Firebase Z, including two previously unseen figures.

While a previous teaser seemingly showed the return of Richtofen, he is nowhere to be seen in these teasers. Instead, insight is given into Dr. William Peck and Kapitan Revenov, two prominent members of the Omega group. An image is also dedicated to Samantha Maxis, though this teaser essentially recounts her actions prior to Die Maschine as opposed to giving new info as to her goals and motivations in the Dark Aether story.

Thankfully, Samantha will have a bigger role in Firebase Z, as it has been confirmed that the map’s quest will focus on rescuing the fan favorite character. Players can expect to encounter William Peck as well, however, with his teaser hinting that he could be the map’s main antagonist. With an Omega document describing him as a genius “with an IQ of 179” and “conceited and abrasive behavior” that suggests he could be a sociopath, Peck could prove to be an intimidating foe to face off with. He also seems to be focused on money and career opportunities as opposed to the mission of Omega, meaning that he could eventually switch sides.

The other Call of Duty Zombies character highlighted is Sergei Revenov, with the Omega member detailing his report praising him heavily as “strong, smart, and ruthless.” He is also said to be “a ruthless killer,” with the report’s author detailing that “there are few as loyal to the motherland as Revenov.” However, there may be more to Revenov than meets the eye, and this supposed loyalty may be an elaborate act on the part of the character.

In previous Firebase Z teasers, Samantha Maxis is being fed information with someone using the initial “R.” While longtime fans instantly assumed this would be Richtofen, especially after the Firebase Z key art released, this all could have been a red herring to get fans off the scent. With Maxis confirmed to have a contact inside the Omega group, it very well could be Revenov, as the document makes it seem as if his cover is so elaborate that the villains would expect nothing.

While fans will need to wait a bit longer to encounter these characters, time should fly if the Firebase Z teasers continue to be released at this rate. If Treyarch continues to post Firebase Z info this consistently, players can expect info on the next wonder weapon and mini boss sometime soon.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
