Firebase Z has arrived, giving Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombies fans plenty to do and lots to discover. Like the previous Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombies map, Die Maschine, Firebase Z offers players a reward crate that can be earned by completing a special side quest.

The first reward crate Easter egg saw the Coffin Dance meme recreated inside Call of Duty Zombies, with the hilarious disco music and lights making for a moment worth seeing. The reward crate dropped by the undead dancers after their routine finished made the side quest worth doing every game, too, as players get access to JuggerNog for free as well as a top-tier weapon. With the quest being a hit with fans, players should be excited to know that Firebase Z has a reward crate quest as well.

This time, however, Treyarch swaps the laughs with scares, as the reward crate Easter egg takes a frightening turn. As shown in a video by Call of Duty Zombies YouTuber MrRoflWaffles, the Easter egg has a few easy steps that need to be carried out. First, players need to activate Firebase Z’s power, following the steps shown on their HUD. From there, they should return to the village, heading up the stairs directly next to Ravenov.

Near the wall to the right of the steps, a large blue bunny can be seen. The stuffed animal should be familiar to players due to it being a replacement for the Mystery Box teddy bear, and once found, players should begin shooting the bunny. After several clips of ammo have been fired its way, players will begin their teleport animation, with the stuffed animal coming to life and charging at the player as they move to a new area.

After the creepy jumpscare, players will be thrown into a Vietnamese jungle, with the are being completely covered in darkness. With players’ visibility being extremely low, the Zombies become scarier and harder to kill. Fortunately, no killing needs to be done, as completing this Call of Duty Zombies Easter egg requires players to find 3 purple rabbits. Though the area is huge, the rabbits stick out as the only light source. Once they are all shot, the Zombies will disappear, and a glowing reward crate appears in the area.

Granting players heaps of Salvage, a free Juggernog perk, and an Epic or Legendary weapon — which has a chance of being the RAI K-84 Wonder Weapon — the Easter egg is worth doing every match. A cut above the Coffin Dance quest because it gives players more to do, fans of Zombies should give the quest a go in-game.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
