Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombies fans have wasted no time searching every bit of Firebase Z for easter eggs, intel, and mini quests. However, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War players stumbled upon a special parkour trick in the process, and those that master it can save a bit of money every game.

Firebase Z is like Call of Duty: Black Ops 1’s Moon in the sense that it starts players outside of the main map. Though the area is slightly larger than Area 51 and offers a crafting table, armor stand, and Pack-A-Punch machine if players want to come back and hold out in the village, the premise is the same. As soon as players have enough points, they buy a door and head up to a teleporter to enter the actual Firebase Z map. However, the door-buying process can actually be skipped entirely.

Provided that Call of Duty Zombies players do not fall through the Village floor first, YouTuber MrRoflWaffles has pointed out a way to reach the teleporter without spending any hard-earned points. As shown in the Zombies fan’s brief video on the trick, players need to go up a ramp directly from where they spawn. From there, they need to make a tough-but-manageable strafe jump to the ledge across from them, with the leap likely taking a few tries to master.

For anyone struggling, it helps to look directly at the edge and aim for the corner of the platform, as this bit sticks out the furthest. Players should also avoid hitting the blue barricade next to them. Once players complete the strafe jump, the hard part is over, with fans simply needing to turn around and leap onto the windowsill across. At this point, all that is left is mantling up onto the roof and going through the teleporter that is activated by talking to Ravenov.

With the process allowing players to enter Firebase Z on Round 1, it could speed up games greatly. Players can spend the extra money saved on a door, wall weapon, or trial, preparing for an encounter with Mimics far sooner than they normally would. Though players not confident in their platforming skills can make their way through the map in the traditional way, those looking to make the most from their points should consider giving the trick a try.

Players have plenty to do in Firebase Z, from acquiring the RAI K-84 Wonder Weapon to fighting an Elder God in the map’s Assault Rounds, so having to worry about points a bit less is helpful. With the parkour trick also being great for speedrunners, it should get plenty of use going forward.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
