Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War brought a new perspective to the "Ground War" formula found in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. By taking the massive map design and vehicle usage to heart, the developers have presented players with a unique map that allows for epic naval combat. While Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War players may not drive battleships, they can instead ride in jet skis and speedboats scattered around the map.

Since the launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, there have been many bugs involved in the operation of these jet skis. From propelling players into the water to simply exploding, these vehicles have a hit or miss chance of working. Some of these problems have been removed with some patches applied to the game, but players are still cautious to ride them into combat.

Reddit user JAD115 shared an interesting clip of his encounter with the in-game jet ski. The video beings with a match of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War on the Armada map. To the left are several set skis, which JAD115 quickly runs for at the match's start. Once in the seat, the jet ski submerges into the water before dipping lower than intended. As the jet ski submerged, the water pushed it back up and suddenly propelled the player in a beautiful arc over the ship's rear end. JAD115 lands safely on the other side and proceeds to the battle after successfully jumping over the entire boat in a jet ski.

While this clip can easily be explained as a Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War bug, others argue that it is a side effect of the game's engine. This does leave the possibility of it being repeated, but there seems to be no tactical advantage as he finds no enemies on the other side of the boat.

The Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War fans in the comments applaud this player's daredevil antics with comments ranging from "Nice" to "Majestic" as players enjoy the entire clip's unrealistic nature. While it is definitely not an intentional jump, it remains an entertaining clip of the many possibilities that the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War engine can. By moving away from the heavy Call of Duty: Modern Warfare engine, the developers can have a more elastic platform for model interactions.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S.
