With every Call of Duty game comes a Mountain Dew and Doritos promotion, and Black Ops Cold War will be no different. Today, the promotion was officially announced, mimicking other promotions and providing Black Ops Cold War players with double XP codes for every marked Mountain Dew or Doritos product purchased.

This latest 2XP promotion is especially impactful, as it was the Doritos promotion that leaked the logo and title for Black Ops Cold War. Back when little was known about the newest CoD game, the leak from the Doritos packaging gave fans something to discuss, with the official reveal of Black Ops Cold War not coming until a few weeks later. For hardcore CoD fans, the official return of the promo and its 2XP codes will likely prove exciting.

Doritos sales will likely see a sharp increase due to the 2XP promotion and the ongoing Doritos PS5 contest, with Mountain Dew purchases likely to increase as well. The promotion will also include Game Fuel as opposed to only the regular Mountain Dew, and it kicks off later today. It will last until January 31, 2021, a good bit beyond Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s official release date of November 13th.

Call of Duty players will be able to find the specially marked packages within grocery stores everywhere, with the bags and bottles getting extensive redesigns to fit the Black Ops Cold War style. With the hard-to-miss packages lining shelves, players can find their codes inside and redeem them on a specific website like in recent years. And since Zombies mode now shares progression with the multiplayer, the codes should work for that mode as well.

The codes can be found hidden away on the inside of bottle caps for Mountain Dew bottles, while Game Fuel cans will see the codes printed on their actual lids. As for the Doritos codes, they can be found inside the bags of the marked Black Ops Cold War packages. Different sizes will mean different codes, with smaller packages offering 15 minutes of 2XP and larger packages offering 60 minutes. With the Black Ops Cold War beta and its new maps just a few days away, players can put time in early to learn the game and make the best use of their 2XP when the full version arrives next month.

With the alpha offering an idea of what the best guns in the Black Ops Cold War beta will be, players can prepare for the trial period of the game ahead of the time. For players more interested in preparing for the actual version, though, they can go out and grab 2XP codes right this minute.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will be available November 13th on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
