Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War's tactical rifles are some of the most high-firepower guns in the game. What they lack in fire speed, they easily can make up for with damage and accuracy. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War players can maximize those factors and turn most tactical rifles into powerful long-range weapons.
With the DMR 14, however, players get a few extra benefits not found in the other Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War weapons. While the M16 and AUG are both closer to assault rifles, the DMR 14 behaves more like a sniper without a scope. By treating it as a sniper, players can get the ammo and fire speed of a semi-auto rifle mixed with their favorite sniper selection's accuracy and damage.
The DMR 14 is a semi-auto tactical rifle with high firepower, accuracy, and ammo. It lacks in speed compared to many others, but if players are not planning on close encounters, this can easily be overcome. The Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War rifle can easily maintain reliable damage in medium and long-range encounters and continuously falls short when it comes to short-range battles. Despite this, players can emphasize the weapon's strengths and make the DMR 14 a worthy sniper in the tactical rifle category.

Optics in most Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War loadouts are up to individual player preference, but the DMR 14 will need some level of scope to maintain long-range shot accuracy. While the loadout does recommend the Royal & Kross 4x, players could also use the Axial Arms 3x with a similar level of accuracy if preferred.
The barrel is the key to this Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War loadout as the 20.8" Task Force barrel extends the range by increasing the gun's bullet velocity. To compensate for increased recoil, players should equip the Field Agent Foregrip and Field Tape to the handle as they both will maintain control over the gun. Finish the build with a SAS Combat Stock to boost ADS movement speed, and players will have quickly turned this tactical rifle into a competitive sniper.
Keep in mind that even with these Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War attachments, the gun will require a minimum of two shots to kill. Headshots can result in a one-shot kill, but most body shots will require bullets in quick succession.
