Players wanting some chaotic multiplayer should jump in for the latest update in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. Treyarch has revealed patch notes for the recent update, and there are a host of changes within. As part of the changes to Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, fans can try out a new Blueprint Gun Game and Snipers Only Moshpit.

While there is a story campaign to experience, multiplayer is the main draw for the classic series. This involves everything from Zombies mode to the competitive League Play in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. While there are plenty of ways to enjoy PvP, Treyarch is adding in new modes to try out. Between Blueprint Gun Game and a Snipers Only Moshpit, there will be some offerings for more casual players.

From the patch notes, it sounds like Blueprint Gun Game is going to be particularly chaotic. Available as a PvP mode, this activity sees competitors cycling through weapon blueprints randomly on kills. Treyarch points out that the entire collection includes blueprints changes from Season 2 Reloaded. Weapon progression at different tiers will vary depending on the match, and the first to get through all 20 wins the round.

Snipers Only Moshpit is also returning to the Featured Playlists with this update. As one can probably assume, this mode restricts all weapons besides sniper rifles. This playstyle requires quick reflects and skillful precision, or at least tips for using snipers in multiplayer PvP. The team is also fixing an issue that reset non-sniper classes when entering this game mode. In addition to these activities, players can look forward to Apocalypse 24/7, Prop Hunt, Multi-Team Moshpit, and more.

For a live service game, new updates like this keep fans hopping back in for more. With how competitive Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War can be, it is interesting to see Treyarch add in some diverse modes. That said, Blueprint Gun Game does demand knowledge of the title's wide variety of weapons, so there is still some excitement for the hardcore crowd. Snipers Only Moshpit seems like it will attract a specific type of player, but at the very least could be useful training for that playstyle.

All in all, this update does not seem to offer much in the way of fixing glitches in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. So fans still experiencing various issues with the title will have to wait longer for improvements. Plus, with Blueprint Gun Game using Season 2 Reloaded weapons only, some players may find the restriction limiting. Overall, the randomized gameplay and new playlists should provide some fun in for the first person shooter.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
