Bugs with Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Warzone scorestreaks tend to manifest in a variety of interesting ways. With each scorestreak having a dramatically different effect, it can be surprising to see the ways one of them does the unexpected. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War's Air Patrol appears out of nowhere, and a Treyarch Developer replied to the strange bug.

Air Patrol is a scorestreak in Call of Duty: Warzone that summons several aircraft to take down other air-based scorestreaks. The jets gun down enemy scorestreaks such as missiles, UAVs, and other potential threats. Despite being a helpful option, the pilots may be taking "Danger Close" a tad too literal in their ambitious assaults.

In a clip posted by Deadward_Riptofen_ on Reddit, the player encounters an unusual series of events. As the player sprints toward a Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Hardpoint, they stop to gun down an oncoming enemy. As they maneuver to shoot the opponent, an Air Patrol streak was activated with the vocal line "Danger Close" being heard over the comms. Rather than protecting the air, the jet flies directly past the player, passing through several obstacles and almost hitting Deadward_Riptofen_ in the process. While this is a shocking bug when unexpected, it does create a comedic view as the jet swiftly disappears and returns to its aerial patrol.

To add to the comical nature of this bug, Treyarch Community Manager Josh "FoxhoundFPS" Torres comments on the post. In the comment he writes, "Danger. Close. I'll let our team know about this," suggesting a fix may be coming in the future. While it is unclear exactly what the Air Patrol plane was doing on the Call of Duty: Warzone Armada ship, fans are now watching their blindspots for oncoming aircraft.

The Air Patrol is not the only Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Scorestreak that has been bugged recently. Many fans have commented on a bug revolving around the Napalm Scorestreak, and other unknown bugs may be lying in wait just to be discovered. As the developers are looking into this particular glitch, they may be investigating other known Scorestreak issues.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War continues to be diligent in repairing known issues. Fans can keep track of their active investigations through the developer Trello board. Until this bug has been repaired, players may want to watch out for Air Patrol pilots who are overly ambitious in their pursuit of danger.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
