Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is still a fairly mysterious game, with a full reveal not coming until May 17. However, a recent tweet by Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 studio Treyarch may reveal one of the first concrete details we have about the game's multiplayer mode, and that is the return of the Pick 10 system.

Speculation that the Pick 10 system will return in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 began when Treyarch tweeted an image that appears to be what it will look like in the new game. The image was accompanied with text that indicated Treyarch will reveal more information about Pick 10 once May 17 rolls around and the studio is able to talk more openly about Call of Duty: Black Ops 4.

For those unfamiliar with Call of Duty's Pick 10 system, it essentially gives players as much freedom as possible when it comes to customizing their loadouts. Players have 10 points to spend, with each weapon, perk, etc. costing a point. Through the Pick 10 system, players could experiment with unique loadouts like having extra perks at the cost of more firepower and vice versa. The popular feature was first introduced in Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, but was dropped by the most recent entry in the series, Call of Duty: WW2.

If the Pick 10 system is returning in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, it could be an indication that the game will have a multiplayer mode similar to the previous games in the series. However, rumors have been swirling about Black Ops 4 potentially making significant changes to the established formula to the point that its multiplayer is like Overwatch. Of course, Black Ops 4 could still potentially have a multiplayer mode like Overwatch and mix it with the Pick 10 system, so that rumor could still very well be true.

Treyarch will likely clear the air about Call of Duty: Black Ops 4's multiplayer on May 17. Once Black Ops 4 receives its proper reveal, it will be interesting to see if the Pick 10 system is returning as this image suggests, and if there is any truth to the rumors about the Overwatch-like multiplayer and the possible battle royale mode.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will launch on October 12 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
