A photo from an anonymous source shows the full list of 12 multiplayer maps for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 that will be available at launch in November.
Ever since the successful beta in August, many Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 fans have been clamoring for new information about the first-person shooter. Now, thanks to an anonymous gamer, players can see the full list of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 multiplayer maps coming at launch.
The list, which is a low-quality photo taken of a TV screen, shows 12 maps in total, three of which were included in the Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 beta. One of the maps, Aquarium, shows a simple image of the map along with a tagline that looks to be in French, part of which translates as ‘Aquarium and botanical garden’.
No additional information is provided about the remaining maps on the leaked list, through there are a few things fans can surmise about the maps just from the names.
For instance, the Aquarium obviously takes place at an aquarium and botanical garden, per the French tagline. From the looks of it, it’s possible players will be able to do a little swimming with the fishes, both literally and figuratively. Hopefully, there are no sharks to crash the party when players do go for a dip.
Breach sounds like it could take place in some kind of stronghold where players breach the doors. It could also be a ship or submarine that has breached the sea or ocean surface. Exodus is possibly a desert area with tents or small buildings representing a refugee camp.
Infection, Metro, Redwood, and Stronghold are all fairly self-explanatory. Infection is likely a hospital or laboratory; Metro is obviously a subway; Redwood most likely takes place in the Redwood forest in California; and Stronghold could easily be some kind of castle or palace.
Fringe and Havoc could be just about anything, since their names don’t necessarily match up with a specific environment. And players are already familiar with Combine, Evac, and Hunted, since they were each included in the Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 beta a couple months ago. While it’s not included in the list, we also know Nuketown will be making an appearance in Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 for those that preorder the game on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
Naturally, this is all speculative since all we’re working off is map names. Each of the maps could be completely different than what we’ve described above.
What do you think about the list of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 maps in the revealed list? What do you think the environments will be like? Let us know your predictions in the comments.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is set to release November 6, 2015 for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
