Considering the beta for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4's battle royale mode Blackout is set to begin in a few days, Activision and Treyarch have been steadily promoting the trial as of late. Recently, it has been confirmed that Zombies will play some role in Blackout, though the full extent is still currently unknown. Notably, the names of some locations should look familiar to some Call of Duty lovers, as well as those who kept up with rumors concerning the map.

One key location that stands out is Nuketown Island, which has long been teased and rumored for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. Nuketown is a small and popular map that has appeared in every entry in the franchise, and will apparently continue to do so. More than that, however, players may notice some locations such as Array and Firing Range.

It has been known for some time that multiplayer elements would appear in the battle royale mode in some form, but it's not likely these locations that share the same name are the only ones. Players sould expect to see more iconic CoD landscapes once they drop into a game. Check out the map below:

While this map appears to be quite large, Blackout does not offer the same amount of players as competitors such as Fortnite quite yet. Currently, it has been confirmed that it will support up to 80 players, but depending on the beta, this could change. Regardless, many may be looking forward to dropping on this map in the beta to test their battle royale skills in a new world.

Speaking of the beta, those who pre-ordered on PlayStation 4 will get access September 10, whereas Xbox and PC players will have to wait until Sept 14. This beta schedule may be perplexing for some, but it can be checked out in full here. As it nears time to release the beta, tell us, Ranters, what do you think of this map?

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is set to launch on October 12, 2018, for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
