Call of Duty: Warzone is a very competitive game, and matches can sometimes take a half hour or more to complete. Because of this, players tend to get very upset when losing due to something out of their control like Warzone's various cheaters and glitches. Now players have discovered a bug which is giving unfair advantages to certain other players.

There is no shortage of bugs and glitches in Call of Duty: Warzone, as with most games of its nature, and many of these bugs are mostly harmless. This most recent one, though, gives a clear and undeniable advantage to some players.

The bug in question is related to a new skin, the Taiga skin for Krueger, which is part of the premium Wendigo Operator pack. While this skin is generally approved by fans in terms of aesthetic appeal, the bug which accompanies it is receiving some backlash.

Players wearing the Taiga skin are not leaving behind red smoke trails when they drop in at the start of the match. This is allowing for players to drop relatively undetected and get the jump on other nearby players. Many feel as though this isn't a huge deal, but in competitive gameplay, any edge one can get makes a huge difference. The smoke trail alerts all players of how many enemies are nearby them, and players are often reliant on this knowledge right after landing in Warzone, so being able to drop incognito is quite useful.

Oddly enough, it seems to just be related to this skin, as no others have reported the bug happening with any other skin. This should be a relatively easy fix on the part of Infinity Ward then, but as of yet, it has made no comments on the bug. What makes this especially infuriating for some is that the skin itself is locked behind a paywall. If this bug was available to all players, then it may not be as big of a deal, and while this definitely isn't "pay to win," it certainly does provide an advantage.

Until a patch fixing the bug is released, players may expect to see a lot more of the new Taiga skin during their matches. Additionally, it would be wise to keep extra sharp while searching for supplies at the beginning of the game, as it may be difficult to tell if there's someone else in the area.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
