Call of Duty: Warzone is filled with minor distractions for players to enjoy outside of the main objective. From flying helicopters to chasing trains, players have an opportunity to relax in the fast-paced battle-royale environment.

This became extra true when Warzone Season 5 opened up the Stadium for players to explore. This massive complex held many secrets, and even now new features are being discovered. When two dedicated Warzone fans decided they wanted to play ball, something unexpected occurred.

Players love to explore maps and enjoy the subtle details left behind by developers. Almost every game that offers a soccer ball and a goal challenges players to find some unconventional way to get the two together. Whether its hours of pushing or simply blasting ammo at the ball to make it move, players will eventually find a way to score a goal.

After securing the area, Reddit user ironkitt managed to shoot the ball into a nearby goal. They noticed two things happen as a result. The first was the color fireworks and minor celebration for a scored goal that appeared out of the net, and the word "Goal" splashed across their screen. The second was the fact that up above the stands the scoreboard changed, scoring a goal for the player in the Verdansk stadium.

The ability to score soccer goals in a shooter is not exclusive to Warzone as many other shooters have had similar tropes. Still, fans love the opportunity to make the goal, cheer, and celebrate their gun-filled sporting activities in the middle of a large battle royale.

It is unclear if there are any further points to scoring goals within Warzone. With so many Warzone Easter Eggs hidden across the game, there could be an unknown deeper meaning to the ability to score goals. One thing that is interesting is that after the goal was scored the ball disappeared. Provided the ball respawns this could make for an interesting mini activity to enjoy mid-match.

Some fans think that the ability to score goals in this small area could be a multiplayer game mode at some time. Players could strategically maneuver around obstacles in an attempt to usher the ball into a goal. Although this is counter-intuitive to a game revolving around shooting, the possibility for a mini-activity like this tot urn into a full game mode is worth fan investigation.
