Call of Duty: Warzone has quickly become one of the most popular battle royales on the market, with players all over the world enjoying the fast-paced shooter. One of the things that keeps the game fresh is the fact that Activision is rotating new modes into Call of Duty: Warzone as often as possible, so one fan has thought of an idea that many players would love.

One of the most popular marketing strategies leading up to the launch of Modern Warfare was the usage of night time maps for multiplayer and the stellar campaign levels. These maps created an extra sense of urgency for the players, as every corner needed checking, and the sound design was also brought to the forefront. One Reddit user imagined how this same idea would translate over to the battle royale experience.

Reddit user u/shootballz created an image where the player is dropping from the gunship into the map in basically complete darkness. The only lights that are visible are that from inside of buildings, such as through windows from the lights inside of houses and structures. It would also be possible that more night time-based weapons with attachments would be spread out in the map. Warzone requires so much to master the gameplay and win matches, but a dark map would possibly changeup strategies completely.

There are some who would be concerned that a dark map would up the number of campers in Warzone, or even make the emphasis of cheaters stronger, as those who use aimbot or wallhack would be able to see right through the darkness and laser an enemy. The publisher has banned 70,000 cheaters to date, and Activision implemented new techniques to fight against hackers, so that would certainly help against anyone fighting unfairly in the dark.

Many players love the idea of rotating out new modes,  but they also hate when it comes at the expense of the standard modes that they love. The game launched with Trios as the go-to mode, buInfinity Ward has taken out Trios multiple times and fans have not liked this. So if a dark mode suddenly appeared in the game, but players were unable to access the standard Verdansk map at day time with the number of players that they want to play, then they probably wouldn't be happy.

Warzone has now been played by over 50 million players, which means that tons of gamers around the world are enjoying the shooter. There are more than enough players, between crossplay as well, to allow multiple rotating game modes without taking out the standard modes that players have come to expect. Players have also been asking for Duos since launch as well. If Infinity Ward gave fans a night time mode and Duos, they'd suddenly be in the good graces of fans very quickly yet again.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
