Call of Duty: Warzone Season 5 is introducing several new characters into the storyline. As with each season, these characters are considered canon in the Call of Duty: Warzone narrative and will bring their own twists into the story. While two of them are fairly new, one is an older franchise favorite making his most recent debut in Call of Duty: Warzone's Verdansk battleground.

New operators are mainly a cosmetic change for the Call of Duty: Warzone community. While they offer no functional differences in gameplay, many fans enjoy playing as iconic heroes from the franchise. In the next season, three new operators have been revealed which are sure to make a splash in the battle royale community.
