Call of Duty: Warzone holds a dangerous minigame that can often be the defining line between a second chance and death. In the Gulag, every tip and trick can be a life-saving device that can turn around even the worst matches. While this Call of Duty: Warzone player should have died, a preemptive decision has saved their life for one more round.

Gulag videos are popular among the Call of Duty: Warzone community. With minimal loadouts, rocks being thrown from above, and an opponent with one goal in mind, a player's true potential shines as they either win or get sent home for the next game. Whether a player is fighting with one hand or even a musical instrument, the Gulag is the last stand before being sent to the menu in a humiliating fashion.

The clip starts with a player in the Gulag headed down a hallway. Turning towards a doorway, the Call of Duty: Warzone player throws a grenade only to be stopped by the enemy's execution animation. As the dog attacks the player, the grenade goes off and kills the enemy player granting them a win for that Gulag round. What makes this clip interesting is that the player did not intentionally throw the grenade at the wall but rather accidentally bounced it off due to the provoked animation. If it was not for the grenade, this player might have lost the Gulag and been sent quickly home.

Still, this Call of Duty: Warzone fan inadvertently taught players a neat trick to use in the Gulag. With headphones or adjusted volume clear enough, players may be able to hear their enemy approach. When in doubt, bouncing a grenade backward and then advancing forwards may be a better option than blindly tossing the grenade over a wall.

A major part of the Call of Duty: Warzone experience is luck, and it is these moments that make the game truly interesting. Unpredictability in a rather predictable situation makes for interesting footage, a story to tell, and sometimes a lucky break from the game engine.

Call of Duty: Warzone players must adapt to survive their encounters in the Gulag. With weapons rotating every so often, unpredictable environmental shifts, and randomized opponents, players will never know exactly what will happen in their next Gulag encounter. Armed with tricks like this, at least players can be slightly more prepared for the oncoming assault.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
