Call of Duty: Warzone fans have dealt with their fair share of weird bugs, though a new discovery from Redditor Rxelik_ may be one of the strangest yet. For whatever reason, a random door seems to be murdering Call of Duty: Warzone players.

This dangerous doorway can be found at the Karst Salt Mine, one of the new locations that came added with the Verdansk 84 map. A visual redesign of the Karst River Quarry, the area now features mounds of salt and some different terrain for players to fight on. While some of the buildings maintain their layouts, a few have seen some changes. One of the Mine’s buildings now holds a closed door, and Rxelik_ found that it seems to have a mind of its own.

At the start of the clip, Rxelik_ is being revived by their teammate. Looking to get the jump on their enemies or flee from the scene of the fight, they attempt to run through the blocked door inside the warehouse. However, not only does the door stay closed when the Call of Duty: Warzone player charges into it, but the unlucky gamer also ends up being downed by it. Shocked by the killer door, they begin to laugh as their teammate revives them once again.

After they are revived, the player double checks the door to see if it is indeed the cause for their down. Before they do so, they equip a full set of armor plates, showing that the door will insta-kill players regardless of whether they are weak or wearing armor. Sure enough, the second attempt to run at the door leads to death, as Rxelik_ is once again knocked into a downed state. This strange Call of Duty: Warzone clip ends with the player and their teammate laughing at the absurdity of a killer door.

As for why this door is killing players, there are a few theories thus far. The first is that it is simply a misplaced death barrier, with Raven accidentally making this door dangerous when they added it to the game. The second theory comes from Redditor JoPOWz, and they suggest that it is tied to the new Red Door fast travel system. According to the player, the are behind the door may be accessible by fast traveling. With the door only meant to be opened from the inside, trying to get in from the outside could break the game, explaining the logic behind the death barrier.

Regardless, this is the latest in a long string of inanimate objects killing players, as Call of Duty: Warzone’s trucks and heartbeat sensors have done the same in the past. Until a fix is made, fans may want to be careful when fighting at the Karst Salt Mine.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
