Players who use SMGs in Call of Duty: Warzone usually have an aggressive and fast-paced playstyle. The SMG weapon class is built around mobility and close to mid-range accuracy, and choosing the right SMG can often be difficult. One Call of Duty: Warzone favorite that frequently rotates into the meta is the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Bullfrog.

The weapon was released in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare as the PP19 Bizon and reappeared in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War as the Bullfrog. This SMG is a well-balanced option with a high-capacity magazine that relies on sustained accuracy to down enemies. While other SMGs fire faster and hit harder, the Bullfrog can hold its own in a sustained fight.

When it comes to SMG selection in Call of Duty: Warzone, the Bullfrog prospers under multiple loadout designs. The weapon sacrifices its hip-fire accuracy and instead prioritizes consistent damage over long periods of time. The weapon can be unlocked at Level 43 and fires at a rate of 750 RPM, dishing out 34 damage per shot. As long as players prioritize accuracy and recoil reduction, the Bullfrog can easily become a mainstay in any SMG fan's loadout selection.

Bullfrog Attachments

As a Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War weapon, the Bullfrog starts its build with a Muzzle attachment. Players are advised to start with a suppressor, with many fans favoring the Sound Suppressor over the GRU Suppressor option. Players that do not mind having their weapons unsilenced can benefit from a KGB Eliminator for recoil control. Either muzzle is easily paired with a 7.4" Task Force barrel or an 8.1" Liberator which will both increase damage and bullet velocity.

A body option is only needed if players are hoping to hip fire this weapon; otherwise, fans should turn towards the Underbarrel for increased recoil control and mobility. And of the laser sights will function on the Body slot, but fans in Call of Duty: Warzone should avoid flashlights if possible. The Bruiser Grip will increase the Call of Duty: Warzone SMG's recoil control and damage, while the Spetsnaz and Patrol Grips mainly focus on recoil reduction.

The weapon already has a large magazine but can be further improved with a VDV 95 Rnd Fast Mag or  STANAG 85 RND ammunition options. Players are advised to only use the Serpent Wrap if equipping a Handle slot, but a GRU Elastic Wrap is often commonly found within the game's competitive environment. When choosing a stock, players can either run a Spetsnaz Stock or increase their mobility by running No Stock. Be warned, running No Stock will decrease recoil control for the weapon within the game.

Bullfrog Builds

Building with a Call of Duty: Warzone Bullfrog loadout prioritizes mobility and accuracy. Due to this, fans should build their stack of perks around being undetectable to gain the advantage while repositioning. The first perk that players should prioritize is Cold-Blooded, but a more frontal option is Double Time for aggressive playstyles. Fans can also take advantage of E.O.D. to avoid explosive damage, but the balance revolving around this perk is constantly changing due to fan perception.

The second Call of Duty: Warzone perk slot can be dedicated to either Ghost or High Alert. Players who run Ghost will be undetectable by UAVs and Heartbeat sensors, but High Alert can often come in handy for unseen enemies. Many consider Ghost the go-to perk, but fans are shifting perspective as High Alert can save an SMG fan from an untimely death due to hidden snipers.

The third perk slot should be filled with Tracker or Spotter depending on individual playstyles. Tracker will allow more aggressive players a way to pursue fleeing targets while Spotter can detect hidden traps. Recently, some fans have turned towards Battle Hardened as a way to reduce flash and stun grenades, but this is again left to individual preference.

Fans are seen choosing flash and stun grenades as their tactical, but a Stim Pack is also a viable option. Lethal options include Moltovs, Thermite Grenades, and Semtex as suppressive options to aid fans in their initial assault against a Call of Duty: Warzone enemy. Think of this as a smash and grab loadout where the lethal and tactical options are meant more as a distraction than a competitively weaponized option.

  • Muzzle - Sound Suppressor
  • Barrel - 7.4" Task Force
  • Ammunition - STANAG 65 RND
  • Stock - Spetsnaz Stock
  • Foregrip - Bruiser Grip

Using this loadout, players will have a silent and deadly weapon at their disposal. The increase in ammo capacity from the STANAG 65 RND is matched with the recoil control found in the Spetsnaz Stock and Bruiser Grip. Call of Duty: Warzone SMG fans will find increased bullet velocity and damage with the 7.4" Task Force Barrel and can remain hidden from the radar while eliminating threats due to the Sound Suppressor Muzzle. Alternatively, the Spetsnaz Stock can be swapped for an Optic if players are comfortable with manual recoil control and reduced mobility within their builds.

Players should pair this weapon loadout with the E.O.D,  Ghost, and Battle Hardened perks in an effort to improve survivability. Running a Flash or Stun for tactical and a Thermite lethal option will give players the opening they need to rush in and eliminate all enemies in a location. Fans should be wary as this is a very aggressive Warzone build, and playing passively will result in a lengthier and more difficult gunfight. While this SMG has an extended magazine, it is better to eliminate threats quickly and not get stuck in a vulnerable reload position due to the SMG's core range.

Fans can pair this Call of Duty: Warzone loadout with a Sniper or Assault Rifle option. The goal would be to compliment the build by offering a long-range option in the kit from either another loadout or a found weapon on the map. Alternatively, running a launcher as a secondary could be a valuable option due to the popularity of trucks and cars within solo and duo game modes. Fans should only pursue in close to medium-range encounters while wielding the Call of Duty: Warzone Bullfrog in battle.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
