The Haunting of Verdansk event in Call of Duty: Warzone has given fans a chance at undead revenge in its brand new zombie royale game mode. Players who are killed throughout the match are given a "second life" where they can hunt down the living. If the undead player kills enough Call of Duty: Warzone players they get a second chance to win the round as a live player.

Things get more interesting when fans consider that the zombie royale is a team-based game mode. This means that any team could be made of a combination of zombies and players. As the nighttime Warzone round progresses, there is no telling how many players will be alive on a team to see victory.

Thankfully this is not a problem, as players found out after winning a match. If a player is undead when the match of Call of Duty: Warzone zombie royale is won, they will be rescued and flown out still in their undead state. While this is a funny side-effect from the round, it is probably not the safest thing to do during a zombie apocalypse. The image was posted by Reddit user nothing_in which showed their ally, MaZE, still in undead form as they flew away. While they are a zombie with blue eyes and decaying skin, they are holding the gun that they were using when they died.

Turns out that this end frame is not exclusive to zombies, as some players have found that the Juggernaut has the same effect. In the Haunting of Verdansk Call of Duty: Warzone event, the new Juggernauts are redesigned with fiery jack-o-lantern heads atop the massively armored Juggernaut body. If a player was using Juggernaut while the match ended, they will be lifted out in the same outfit during the end credits.

While it is unknown if this is an intentional result of a match, players are loving it as the Juggernaut and zombie both have unique designs. Fans have seemingly been enjoying the Haunted Verdansk event, with many sharing their experience on social media and forums.

The success of Call of Duty: Warzone's Haunted Verdansk event has left fans considering the possibilities for more seasonal events. From Christmas events to New Year's cosmetics, fans are wondering what the next big push will be for this popular battle royale experience. Until then, they will simply Trick or Treat across Verdansk and enjoy the event while it is still live.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
