Call of Duty: Vanguard released earlier this month to mixed or average reviews. Indeed, many have believed the Call of Duty franchise is growing stagnant for quite some time now, and that’s where this fell for many. Despite this and other criticisms, it has received praise for its campaign and multiplayer. It’s also still one of the best-selling and most popular franchises in gaming.

Combining its popularity with its recent release date perfectly explains why some retailers wanted to save their Black Friday deals on Call of Duty: Vanguard for later. A couple of Black Friday ads went live, stating that a special price on Call of Duty: Vanguard would be revealed at a later date, and now that time has come. So, for those wanting to check out the latest Call of Duty game, they can do so now at a discount.

Leading the pack, as many may join on the actual Black Friday date or later, is Walmart and GameStop. Both retailers have the game priced at $39.99, which is a solid saving given the game is, as of this writing, less than three weeks old.

If someone was planning on picking up Call of Duty: Vanguard when it went on sale, it’s not likely to be this cheap for a while.

Meanwhile, it’s a good time to go ahead and do any Black Friday/holiday shopping related to these games. Beyond these two, Walmart has some solid Black Friday deals on games like Guardians of the Galaxy, Deathloop, Far Cry 6, Madden NFL 22, and far more. GameStop’s best Black Friday deals include games like Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, Mass Effect: Legendary Edition, and many more.

Overall, it’s been a solid Black Friday shopping season. One retailer has even offered a discount on pre-orders of Elden Ring, but by and large, it’s mostly to be expected deals with a few surprises. Ergo, fans should be sure to pick up whatever they want now, as while these deals will last or similar ones will pop up between now and the holidays, they’ll be back to normal in the blink of an eye.

Call of Duty: Vanguard is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
