With only a few days left before Season 2 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare ends and Season 3 begins, there’s not much time left for players still grinding out the current battle pass. Luckily for them, Activision has made it a little easier for them to unlock new rewards for both Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Warzone by offering up ten of the pass’ 100 tiers for free.

There is a catch to this deal, though it shouldn’t be too much of a problem for most players. Unlike the free tiers that are already included in the battle pass, these free tiers require players to already own the full pass, which will set them back around 1,000 COD Points, or around $10 in real-world money. Anyone who hasn’t bought a battle pass yet will have until April 5 at 11:00 PM PST to do so to get their hands on the free tiers.

From there, Activision says that players can redeem their free tiers from the “Just For You” section of the Store, though it notes that those who purchase their battle pass now may have to reboot their game for it to work. Once it does, though, the next ten tiers on their pass will unlock, instantly granting them new rewards to use in both Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone.

But what about the players who are already above tier 90? Activision has them covered as well, as this deal will let them carry any leftover tiers over into the next pass, so if, say, a player is at tier 95 when they redeem their free tiers, they’ll instantly unlock the last five tiers of Season 2’s battle pass and then instantly unlock five more tiers once Season 3’s pass becomes available.

Furthermore, those with more than ten tiers to go will have an easier time of unlocking a few more rewards before Season 2 ends, as Activision has added double battle pass progression to Modern Warfare and Warzone for this weekend, in addition to regular double XP and double weapon XP. This will only last until Monday, April 6 at 10:00 AM PST, so players are going to want to start taking advantage right away.

On top of all of these other deals, today marks the start of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare free weekend. From now until Monday, April 6 at 10:00 AM PST, it’s possible to hop into the game’s multiplayer at no cost, but it’s worth noting that this trial period is accessed from Warzone, so newcomers are going to have to download that game first.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is available for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Call of Duty: Warzone is free-to-play on those platforms.
