It has been almost a year since the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and players are still putting out guides to help with the Damascus grind. While many players have already finished the infamous challenge, there are still those who are stuck on the harder to beat Call of Duty: Modern Warfare weapons.

Out of all the launchers, the Modern Warfare JOKR challenge is one of the hardest to complete. The slow fire rate, upward arch of the missile, and delay before impact all add to a complicated system. That being said, one fan has found a way to shave a few seconds off of the JOKR's extended launch time.

In a video posted by OGGigi, the screen is split between two perspectives. On the left is a standard firing time for the JOKR, while the right side demonstrates his shortcut for cutting down on launch time. The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare JOKR comes pre-equipped with both a standard sight and a thermal view. After some experimentation, OGGigi discovered that by toggling the thermal and normal view during the firing sequence, the missile will launch roughly two seconds early. While this is not a huge leap those could be vital seconds between a kill and a complete miss.

For many Call of Duty: Modern Warfare players, the advice comes a tad bit too late. With the game having been out for so long, many players have already completed their Damascus grind. Still, this advice can help accelerate the time between launching the missile and hitting a UAV to grind out one of the many difficult challenges.

While it may be too late for players to use this advice for camos, it may become useful in other applications. Firing times during a match of Warzone could be improved, and Ground War fans still get good use out of the JOKR's long-range capabilities.

Interestingly, the comments show that there are a number of players who had no idea the weapon came pre-loaded with a thermal view. This extra tidbit of information may be more valuable than the actual video's advice. With Call of Duty: Warzone night mode still in rotation, thermal scopes are getting used more now than ever before.

Still, fans of the JOKR launcher now have a few extra tools in their kit when it comes to using this weapon. The faster firing time will no doubt aid in making sure the rocket reaches its destination.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
