Call of Duty: Modern Warfare fans have done some pretty incredible things. Some of these are funny, like the time a squad of riot shield users ambushed an unsuspecting Warzone player, and others require immense skill to pull off. Redditor TruceBrian has produced one such moment, but this one relies entirely on dumb luck.

As with other incarnations of the Gun Game mode, the final kill of the round must be won with a throwing knife. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare players often try to find creative ways to do this, but TruceBrian's is truly a treat to watch.

TruceBrian throws the knife almost directly into the sky, and as he rounds the corner an enemy appears. Rather than throw another knife and try to secure the kill, he looks up to the sky and tracks the knife as it falls directly into his opponent, netting him the victory.

When questioned on how the other player doesn't kill him before the knife lands, TruceBrian does elaborate in the comments and explains that this was a custom match against bots. Something like this would be even less likely to happen against an actual human during an online match, but it is impressive nonetheless. The post was very well received if the numerous Reddit awards gifted to the poster are anything to go off of, and the clip is rather fun to watch. Unfortunately, since it was in a custom game, TruceBrian did not get the Mastery Challenge for the throwing knife, however.

Others in the comments share their own strategies for accomplishing crazy feats such as this, most of which all rely completely on luck. One user says every time they spawn they simply toss their knife or grenade in the general direction of enemies and often end up getting kills from the throw, and another suggests that TruceBrian probably tired to get this shot multiple times before finally filming a successful one. There's even a large subset of people that believe the throwing knife must have some kind of aim assist or magnetic effect, as the odds of this happening seem slim yet videos like this appear somewhat frequently.

Either way, it is always awesome to see clips like this that show off some of the crazier moments in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. It's not recommended to go around trying to do things like this in actual multiplayer games, but if one does happen, fans should be sure to record it.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
