Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is effectively a love letter to many who enjoy a variety of guns and gun customization. Modern Warfare players are likely getting the Galil and Vector next season, and that's exciting enough. However, there are definitely some guns where customization is the name of the game, and one of those is the MP5 SMG.

Now, fresh off at a victory at the Call of Duty League in Seattle, Pro player Seth 'Scump' Abner reveals his MP5 loadout that he is using in professional matches. Most of it is rather standard for the popular MP5 in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, but a few of his choices may be worth checking out for those who haven't.

He leaves the barrel, muzzle, laser, and optics out of it, focusing instead of lower attachments, which is a fairly popular choice. He does choose the Operator Grip, which reduces recoil but slows handling and mobility, over the more popular Commando Grip. Scump also opts for the 10mm Auto 30-Round Mags alongside Sleight of Hand, a good choice of attachments in Modern Warfare as it buffs damage and speeds up reloads. His final choice is the Stippled Grip Tape and FTAC Collapsible Stock to reduce ADS time.

This competitive Modern Warfare loadout focuses on damage and speed, a far cry from the standard approach in Modern Warfare's battle royale counterpart, Warzone. Still, many turn to the Commando Grip including some of Scump's teammates, but for those experimenting, it's worth checking out. Call of Duty Modern Warfare MP5

In the meantime, it remains to be seen how Modern Warfare Season 4 changes up the standard and competitive meta. A Modern Warfare Season 4 weapon leak recently indicated the aforementioned Galil and Vector were coming, as well as a new sniper rifle (The Rytek AMR) and Akimbo Blades. In short, while the MP5 isn't likely to fall from prominence any time soon, there's plenty of ways to dive into the game.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
