Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone will be entering into its haunted Verdansk event this week. This Halloween-themed experience comes with new skins inspired by horror movie villains Jigsaw (from Saw) and Leatherface (from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre) which will be added to Modern Warfare's in-game store.

Although the skins do cost money to obtain, it appears that Leatherface has an additional promotion associated with him. Fans can earn a free Leatherface Emblem and Calling Card for use in Modern Warfare and Warzone if they complete one simple task.

All a player must do to earn the free Leatherface Emblem and Calling Card is visit the official Texas Chainsaw Massacre website. There, players must watch a small clip that contains some violence, loud noises, but is completely jumpscare free. After that, fans need to put in a valid email address and within two weeks they will receive a code to redeem their free cosmetic items.

While it is nice to receive some free cosmetics, many fans wonder why there is not a similar promotion available for Jigsaw. Still, Leatherface is a very popular horror movie villain and there is sure to be a large community that is happy to see additional cosmetic options.

Both the Jigsaw and Leatherface bundles have a little something for horror fans that want to get in the Halloween spirit while playing Warzone or Modern Warfare. While these free cosmetics offer a Calling card and Emblem, the bundles have that and so much more to offer.

Interested fans can find the bundles in the in-game store on October 20th. These bundles are being sold for 2,400 COD points and they are Season 6 exclusive. This is the first Halloween event for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, so the developers are sure to have even more secrets in store.

Seeing that Call of Duty: Warzone will continue to release content into the next year, there is a high chance that the battle royale will see a second Halloween event. If so, this Halloween event sets the standard for future content and fans should pay close attention to all the spooky surprises yet to come.

The Halloween event will be running from October 20th to November 3rd. Players should take advantage of the bonus game modes, free items, and spooky settings while it is still around because after November 3rd the game is scheduled to return to normal. This is a perfect way to combine game time with the celebration of this popular spooky holiday.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
