The reboot of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has largely been a hit as it has attracted a huge fan base and positive reviews. Not many were surprised when Call of Duty: Modern Warfare broke sales records as it is the reboot of one of the most successful games in the Call of Duty franchise. However, the game has managed to entertain players through frequent updates and new content. A leak now seems to have revealed the next addition to the already expansive game.

First-person shooting is commonplace in the gaming industry but the reboot of Modern Warfare has largely managed to build on existing mechanics of the series while adding new game modes. With that said, many of the additions to the game may be a first for the franchise, but they certainly aren't anything new to games as a whole. With game modes like Warzone tapping into the popularity of battle royale, it is perhaps unsurprising that a leak is revealing a feature borrowed from another first-person shooter.

A leak showcases a new animation where players can now look at their weapons. Fans of CS: GO will undoubtedly recognize this feature as it easily commonly done in the game. It seems that this animation will allow players to inspect their weapons and this may serve as an opportunity for players to admire the new Modern Warfare weapons that they have unlocked, or enable them to check the weaponry they are using it is correct. The leak features three guns, the MP5, the Grau 5.56, as well as the RAM-7 and many players will be interested to see if this animation will extend to all available weapons.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has a lot of guns and while many will debate the value of each weapon it seems that the developer behind the title, Infinity Ward, is now enabling players to get a good look at what they are using. Undoubtedly, this will please players who are interested in weaponry more broadly, and it seems that this move should please fans as a whole as it does not impact gameplay, it simply offers another view.

Infinity Ward has plenty of ideas on how to improve Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and many fans will be grateful for the continued additions as long as they do not negatively impact gameplay. For players who want to inspect weaponry while playing they will now have to patiently wait for Infinity Ward to announce its new animation.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
