Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Warzone have become very competitive games. The key to victory in Modern Warfare comes down to knowing the right tips and being quick on the sticks.

One of the biggest pro moves is the slide cancel, which allows players to sprint infinitely in Modern Warfare and Warzone. If anyone were to jump into a pro stream, or watch an esport round, pretty much every single player will be slide canceling and infinite sprinting around every corner. It has become a move used just as frequently as aiming and shooting.

Not only does the slide cancel give players the ability to maneuver around the map at great speed, but it allows them to aim down sights quicker and glide around corners to get the jump on opponents with devastating results. And because Modern Warfare and Warzone share the same DNA, once players nail down the trick, the same principles can be added to the guide on how to win Warzone.

How to Infinite Sprint/Slide Cancel in Modern Warfare

The first thing that players will need to do is open up the settings menu and go to the controller options area. For Slide Behavior, change the option to Tap. This may take a while to get used to, but this is mandatory for Slide Cancel. This is how to do the Slide Cancel itself:

Start Tactical sprinting

Tap the slide button

Tap the slide button a second before the slide animation is completed

Players can traverse the map doing this infinitely, but consider doing the slide cancel specifically around corners and in areas where enemies are going to appear. They are unlikely to suspect an opponent will slide and pop up with such ferociousness, additionally, a powerful SMG like the MP5 is a great weapon choice with this tactic.

Using the infinite sprint to escape the deadly storm in Warzone is also very helpful. There are Gas Masks in the game that will help players avoid taking damage from the gas, but sometimes players can get stuck and need to outrun it, so being able to spring forever is awesome.

Warzone is a bit slower-paced than Modern Warfare, while still being hectic, but players that bring the slide cancel technique can have a huge advantage over someone who is slowly checking a corner and not expecting a quick sliding pro. Consider using the amazing Grau setup in Warzone that still manages to be fast firing and quick maneuvering at close ranges, a great gun for the slide cancel technique in Warzone even as an AR.
