Call of Duty: Modern Warfare announced its Games of Summer event not too long ago. Players in both Modern Warfare and Warzone were challenged to test their speed, accuracy, and persistence through five distinct trials, with each providing a unique reward.

Players who completed all the challenges scoring gold on each trail were rewarded with a new legendary blueprint for the Grau 5.56 titled "Steeplechase." This blueprint is not an easy accomplishment, as each of the trails requires precise timing and skill to complete. It is this difficulty that makes it so disappointing for fans who reach the end without receiving their reward.

Several fans have expressed concern over this bug with some players finding minor workaround in the meantime. The bug appears after a player completes the Summer Trials and leaves without claiming their rewards. When they return to the game they find that the rewards are locked despite having all gold across each event. Sometimes the bug will remove progress on individual trials, while other times it simply locks out the final rewards. Players, out of desperation for their reward, are redoing trials in hopes of triggering the prizes once again but have found no evidence that it helps bypass the bug.

The bug appears to manifest on both PC and console versions of the game. Fans on both platforms are left waiting for a bug patch and hoping that their rewards will be dispensed before the event ends. It should be noted that fans are receiving their rewards for each individual track, just not the final reward for completing all five gold medals.

Other then this bug, the Games of Summer event has been well received by both Warzone and Modern Warfare fans. Players continue to practice for hours trying to bring their score down as low as possible. The entire event has not only inspired a new competitive effort among the game's community, but fans are also saying that the event has improved their aim and reflexes.

This bug should be recorded and brought to Infinity Ward or Activision's attention. With the number of players reporting the issue on social media alone, the development team will most likely be patching the problem in the near future. The best way to guarantee a fast fix would be for fans to continue to report the bug and send evidence to the varying developer social media channels.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
