Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's multiplayer has had its fair share of glitches and technical problems since launch, though developer Infinity Ward has been quick to address them as they've popped up. Now the glitch where Modern Warfare finishing moves wouldn't work properly has now been addressed by the studio, with the hope that it will be fixed "as soon as possible."

Reddit user Average-Genius uploaded a video of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare finishing move glitch in action. In the clip, we can see Average-Genius get the jump on an enemy player and try to perform a finishing move. The finishing move animation starts happening, but then it stops for seemingly no reason. This gives Average-Genius' opponent enough time to gun him down, which would understandably be quite frustrating.

The post was replied to by artpeasant, an Infinity Ward developer who has been active on the Modern Warfare subreddit lately. artpeasant assured Average-Genius that the Modern Warfare finishing moves glitch will fixed and the studio is looking into what's causing it. The problem doesn't seem to be super widespread, but this isn't the first time's popped up, so it's good to see that it will be addressed soon.

A specific timeline for the Modern Warfare finishing move glitch fix hasn't been released by Infinity Ward, but it could come at any time. Modern Warfare receives playlist updates on Tuesdays, but sometimes those updates also have bug fixes and the like as well. Alternatively, a fix for the Modern Warfare finishing moves glitch could come later in the week or be wrapped up as part of a much larger update.

Infinity Ward has been teasing a big Modern Warfare update that's on the way, presumably to kick off the game's Season Two of content. Modern Warfare Season One ends on January 28, and while a start date for Season Two hasn't been announced, one has to imagine that it won't be long after.

As for what fans can expect from Modern Warfare Season Two, it will likely consist of even more classic Modern Warfare series maps coming to the game, new game modes, and plenty of new cosmetics to unlock in the battle pass. Specific details are unavailable at this time, but we'll find out more in the coming weeks.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
